Japan Hospital, Doctors & Health Picture Book

About this book

500 Japanese words of the hospital, doctors and health — in one picture book made in Japan! From the reception desk and the insurance card to the many departments of a Japanese hospital — internal medicine, surgery, pediatrics, dentistry — kids meet blood tests and X-rays, the medicine notebook, the pharmacy, the ambulance and the emergency room, get-well visits with a thousand paper cranes, and the doctors of long ago, from the medicine sellers of Toyama to Nightingale. Every word comes with a friendly picture, Japanese in kana (the way children in Japan read), romaji for pronunciation, and a QR code for FREE audio of all 500 words. This book teaches the names of places, people and things at the hospital; it gives no medical advice. Vol. 35 of the "My First 500 Japanese Words" series — written and produced in Japan by Aki Wakamatsu.
